CropTopia is a Canadian owned and operated family business. CropTopia Scrapbooking retreat weekends have been held in
Ontario and Manitoba. The first Ontario Spring retreat was held in the fall of 2000 with 26 participants. Since then the participation has grown to around 100 avid scrapbookers each year. It is held at Camp IAWAH,
the last weekend in May each year. 2011 was the eleventh retreat for Ontario.
In the Fall 2004 CropTopia Manitoba was held just outside of Winkler. There were 65 participants and it was a great success.
In September 2006 we held CropTopia Diva. This fall retreat was held at the Holiday Inn Select in Kanata Ontario. It was a great weekend. We offered 58 straight hours of challenges, contests, prize draws and
lots of fun. This event was more upscale with wonderful surroundings and gourmet food. Sandra Jackson was crowned CropTopia Diva 2006.
In 2007 we added a monthly crop in Nova Scotia. We used Meet-up to advertise and the group has grown slowly. We met the
third Saturday of each month at New Life Church in Cole Harbour.
In September of 2007 we decided that rather than a fall weekend we would switch to a full day crop in support of cancer
research. It was a great success and has been continued on an annual basis.
In October 2009, at the request of several local scrapbookers, we organized a weekend retreat at the Best Western Hotel,
Renfrew Ontario. We are planning to keep this as an annual event as well.
