CropTopia Classes 2008

Here is the description for our classes for 2008. I think the teachers have come up with wonderful classes for you. I don�t have samples for all of them yet as some of our teachers are waiting for supplies to arrive but I will post the images as they arrive.

Registration will begin on April 5^th at 6 PM Ontario time. Be sure check our the Schedule before you register so that you don�t get any conflicts.

On April 5^th at 6 PM you can access your account using your username and password and click on change under classes to enter the classes that you want. When a class if full you will be put on a waiting list. If there is enough interest we will try to schedule another class if there is enough need and the teacher is willing.

# 1. Flower Power Layout Teacher: Susan Irvine Type : Technique and layout Class Cost: $20.00		Let's Relive the 60's. Enter a time warp with me and I will take you back to back to the fabulous Sixties.. A time of heightened creativity. We will create beaded embellishements, macrame borders, and embroidered felt flowers.We will also use stamping, brads etc to create a truly flower power 2 page layout to showcase all your CropTopia photos from this year weekend. I will show you how to do all the embellishments and offer you shortcuts as well. No experience in any of the crafts is needed. You will be surprised at what we create.
#2. Cards, Cards, Cards Teacher: Veronica Reis Type: Project Cost: $20.00		Do you always end up with tons of scraps you have no idea what to do with??? Well, in this class you will see how easy it is to whip up beautiful cards in minutes. You will never again have any problems knowing what to do with all your scraps. We will create a Birthday, Father's Day, Thank You, Wedding, Happy Everything and Kid's Birthday in this class. Come and see what all the fun is about.
#3. Coaster Memory Album Teacher: Patricia Cole Type : Project Cost: $20.00		Create this beautiful 4x4 memory album to preserve your Croptopia memories. Class includes all supplies. Please bring basic tools (paper trimmer, scissors, pencil, eraser and adhesive)
#4. Altered Recipe Tin Teacher: Veronica Type : Project Cost: $20.00		Do you have family recipes that you would like to pass down? Here is the class for you. In this class you will alter a metal tin recipe box and create a place for all those special recipes. When you need a recipe it will always be there. Class handout will be included.
#5. Life is full - A 2 Page Layout by Ninabrook Designs Teacher: Paula Mason Type: Layout Cost: $20.00		This beautiful 2 page layout was created by the ladies of Ninabrook Designs! It features the papers of Cosmo Cricket. We will be playing with lots of neat embellishments, such as twill, twine, buckles, brads and more! This layout also features lots of inking and is suitable for beginners thru advanced level scrappers! Pictures are not required, you can add them at home! Please bring the following to class: adhesive, trimmer, scissors, pencil, brown ink.
#6. Patchwork Quilt Teacher: Suzanne Gatenby Type : Layout Class Cost: $20.00		Are you a quilter, a quilt collector, or want to be a quilter, or just enjoy looking at those beautiful blankets? Well, this class is for you. For 7 years I have been offering a quilt class and this year we will honor the family [the title comes with your choice of family or friend wording]. We will work with patterned papers and with a needle and thread create beautiful quilt stitches. Each kit will include a variety of patterned papers. There will be lots of room for journaling or extra pictures on the hidden tags tucked behind the quilt. As shown in the photo you can choose from two tag colours - one colour is the gold shown in the photo or the second choice being a solid colour to coordinate with your selection of papers. This project may look intense but with my guidelines and templates it is suited for all levels of creativity. Step by step it comes together nicely � just like any quilt! Come join our quilting bee on Friday afternoon.
#7. Alley's Wonderland Album Teacher: Suzanne Pilkington. Type: Project Cost: $20.00		Suzanne will help you to create a finished 12x12 album using this quick & easy step-by-step memory book kit! Alley's Wonderland kit, from SEI, kit includes: pre-cut papers with glitter accents, a post-bound album, coordinating glitter tags & stickers, rub-ons, epoxy stickers, custom ribbons & brads, and a keepsake box. All papers cut to size for fast assembly.
#8. Continuing to Play with Paint Teacher: Suzanne Gatenby Type : Technique class Cost: $20.00		This class is the 4^th in a series of Playing with Paint. During this year�s class we will continue to play with a variety of paint techniques. We will use chipboard, wax paper and plastic wrap, spray paint, foam stamps, metal, and 3 D paint just to give you an idea. You don�t need to be a painter to take this class!! Upon completion of this class you will come away with one 12x12 painted background page, as well as a finished 2 page layout highlighting PAINT, ready to showcase your photos.
#9 Father's Day Gift Class Teacher: Veronica Reis Type : Project Cost: $20.00		. In this class you will create a 6x6 mini album so you can display some great photo's of you and Dad. These fun pages will show Dad just how much he means to you. To finish the special album you will create a unique card so that when you are finished the class you are ready for Father's Day! Handout included with this class The first grahic is the cover. The other one is the 6 pages inside the book.
#10. Intricate Cutting Teacher: Kim Tye Type: Technique Class Cost: $20.00		The technique I will be facilitating is "Intricate Cutting" using an exacto knife. In this class you will learn a little history on this technique and how to use it effectively with gift cards, tags and scrapbook pages. This technique also makes beautiful wall art. Everything you need to create beautiful cards, pages and tags will be provided. The only things you need to bring are a cutting matt, and your enthusiasm
#11. Chipboard Wall Hanging Teacher: Patricia Cole Type: Project Cost: $20.00		Wall Hanging Be the envy of all your friends with this stunning wall hanging. Class includes all supplies to make this gorgeous project. Please bring basic tools ( paper trimmer, scissors, pencil, eraser and adhesive)
#12. My Top 10 Teacher: Glenda Type: Project Cost: $20.00		You will love this wonderful project designed for you by Glenda from a kit provided by Paper Partners. It is a 5 X7 board book filled with lots of groovy prints and colours! Bring 10 or so pictures of your absolute favourite things... your kids, your spouse, your scrapping supplies, your local ice cream parlour, the colour of your favourite room... ANYTHING! Be creative and don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone! This mini album is dedicated to YOU!
#13. Chipboard Word Album Teacher: Suzanne Gatenby Type: Project Cost: $20.00		This chipboard album is a must have for everyone�s collection. It is the perfect size for any �short story�. A wonderful gift idea - completed with pictures or left for the recipient to add photos. Who wouldn�t love receiving this little gem? During class we will spend time playing with embellishments and patterned papers as we decorate this album, choosing quotes to match your theme. This project is suited for all levels of ability. If you can cut and paste come play with us. You have the choice of Family or Friends, each with its own unique colours and quotes. Please choose when you register. I�m sure Susan will have other word albums in the store to choose from once you become hooked on the first one.


#14. Altered Wooden Tool Box Teacher: Lisa Samra Type: Project Cost: $20.00		This delightful decorated box will brighten your scrapbooking work space. Lisa has designed this useful project using the products in the Nellie's Garden kit from Pebbles INC. She has included Petaloo flowers and Pebbles foam stamps and ribbons. The box has pockets inside to hold your paints or tools. You can follow Lisa's pattern or let your creativity flow and use the provided items to fashion your own work of art. Anyone who has been to Lisa's classes knows how much fun they are.
14. LUNCH on Friday Cost: $8.		This meal is not included in your weekend package. You must sign up at least one week before event so that we can tell the camp how many will be attending and you must have a ticket. The price will be added to your account and you will get a ticket at the registration desk. These will not be sold day of the event.
